Timed Writing Prompts #1 - Starry Night

Take a look at this picture. What kinds of ideas does this picture evoke? Whose point of view is this image from? What planet are they from? Set your timer for five minutes and start writing.

WARNING! Below is an example of what can written from this prompt. If you wish to use this prompt for your ideas, it is probably not a good idea to read mine first, for this will most likely contaminate any original or fresh ideas that you have.

Example: Paula leveled her aim at the horizon. The heads-up display on her Wizzlesnap 5000 indicated that there were not any lifeforms in the vicinity. She could not trust the HUD of her weapon solely, because the scuffle mark tracks in the sand created by the dozens of legs by the centipede-type creatures meant that there were bugs in the area. More alarming to her were the tracks of a different creature that was much larger than a mere lightcrawler.

She had been searching for Ron for some weeks now on this planet to no avail. She still had the last transmission of him telling her 'I love you' saved in her Interloper radio which she had downloaded into her headset. The transmission accompanied a stored location that could be tracked and she had left the protection of her star vehicle to search for him or any remains of him on foot. She had narrowed down the source of that last transmission to this particular quadrant and sector of the bug-infested planet.

Suddenly her HUD snapped to the grid as a flurry of movement and light caught it's attention. She zoomed in with her scanner to reveal a large source of gamma activity coming from straight ahead. After further inspection she realized that it was not a lightcrawler but something different. She peeled her gaze away from her Wizzlesnap to realize it's luminosity becoming more and more brilliant. It was something from afar coming into view, strange, unfamiliar, and unlike anything she had ever seen before.

As it came closer, she reeled her weapon aiming at it in case it was something harmful. She noticed how large it was compared to her. It seemed to be a gigantic cocoon of light that was emanating rays in all directions. She approached it slowly and cautiously, the harmless rays bathing her in it's light.

"Lieutenant Paula! Please report your position!", commanded Lieutenant Colonel's voice from her headset. "We have evidence indicating an extreme disturbance from your sector, can you please confirm communications and position please."

"Yes, I'm still here in Sector 9B, and I'm witnessing a large brilliant light source, and unsure if it is sentient or not. It is definitely not harmful." Paula replied.

"Very well Lieutenant. Stay on guard, we can't afford to lose you."

Paula walked closer to the light source and she realized that it's luminosity was blinding now and she couldn't look at it directly. Suddenly, she became mesmerized by it as a feeling of awe came over her and shortly after she heard Ron's voice.

"Paula... come here. It's wonderful up here."

She dropped her Wizzlesnap 5000, and walked closer to the lightsource, it's force luring her in.

"Lieutenant! Lieutenant! Please come in!" came the voice from the radio in her headset.

Paula peeled the headset from her head and let it drop to into the sand, and was engulfed by the bright light.
